MY REVIEW (4 stars/5)

Dan Brown needs to watch out as there is a new author in town and she also fights angels & demons, monsters & seers on this planet.

The Seer’s Lover won 2nd place in the Lucky Cinda Book Contest 2014; which is great for being a first time book novelist. An excerpt can be seen on the author’s web page at that shows the raw talent of how this author can delve deep into human emotions and show them on paper. She moved me!

The author really pulls you into this world and leaves you on the edge of your seat.

The book itself is an adult paranormal romance featuring angels and demons. It shows multiple storylines and is told in the third person with alternating voices as each chapter tells you where you are as you can be anywhere all over the world, from Wisconsin to Costa Rica to Kansas to Russia. Some of the narrators are good and some are demons but all have their own agendas and it is up to the reader to figure out the whole truth by putting it together.
From the start up to the last, this book is full of surprises.

Calise Rowe is a pharmacist who has taken over her family pharmacy, but that is not all there is to Calise. For years she has been able to ‘sense’ something from people, whether they are good or bad, and this has made her to be different and cautious. One night she is working in the pharmacy alone, a man comes in to get a refill and her life is forever changed. She ends up traveling to Mal Pais where she meets Lucas and his aunt Carmen, and learns all about Seer’s, angels and demons who are here on earth also. The issue is of control; good vs. evil; and Calise learns to find her role in this war to help save mankind.

The story is easy to follow and understand. The characters are easy to relate with and love.
One of my favorite characters in this book is Lucas! He’s brave and full of surprises. He is good for Calise.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review LoP (Lovers of Paranormal).
